Ingrid Mattsson
With twenty years of service in the plumbing and heating industry, Ingrid is the seventh recipient and the first woman to receive the Carlson-Holohan Award of Excellence recognizing her dedication to advancing the steam and hydronics industries.
Ingrid is the director of brand and sustainability at Uponor North America in Apple Valley, Minnesota. She began her career in the plumbing and HVAC industry in 1995 when she worked for Wirsbo (now Uponor) in marketing and communications. She is caretaker and gatekeeper for many of the company’s brand and sustainability initiatives, including messaging, community relations, sponsorships, and reputation management.
Ingrid’s passion for sustainability and stewardship inspired her to co-found Uponor’s North American Sustainability team, guiding the company’s triple-bottom-line approach to sustainability that balances people, planet, and profits. In addition, she works closely with Uponor’s Global Sustainability team to maintain alignment between the two areas, as well as harmonize Uponor’s corporate goals with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Ingrid has a bachelors degree in Spanish and Latin American studies with a minor in business from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh and a masters degree in business communications from the University of St. Thomas – Opus College of Business.
